Log Database

If you want to log to a database (mssql or postgresql) you can set the log database location in the setting file (default FastTransfer_settings.json file or a custom location and settings file name using --settingsfile parameter)

You can change the connection string inside the settings file.

Sample Connection String for mssql

"MS_FastTransferLogs": "Server=localhost;Database=FastTransferLogs;Integrated Security=SSPI;Encrypt=True;TrustServerCertificate=True"

Custom Connection Example

"MS_FastTransferLogs": "Server=mssqlloginstance,2433;Database=FastTransferLogs;Integrated Security=SSPI;Encrypt=True;TrustServerCertificate=True"

Information

In case the database is not reachable, FastTransfer will fail and will refuse to continue. If you want to continue without logging in the database, you can rename the FastTransfer_settings.json file to something else (like FastTransfer_settings.json.save) and FastTransfer will use the console log only.
